Cats & Kittens

Leo

Sadly, Leo was an adored kitten who was dumped outside when he reached maturity.  He has had to fight in the streets to stay alive so he is a little rough around the edges but a sweet kitty is waiting inside to be discovered and loved.  If you give him a chance he will return your love.

Holly

NEW KITTY!!!
Holly is a beautiful young kitty, about 12-14 months old, with a gentle soul and a heart full of love to give. She's incredibly sweet and affectionate, always ready to follow you from room to room just to be near her favorite person. Holly absolutely adores being petted- chin scratches and belly rubs are her favorite things- and she'll happily soak up all the attention you can give. While she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground rather than being picked up, she more than makes up for it with her loyal companionship and calm, loving presence. Holly would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for a devoted, easy going feline friend.

Stevie

Stevie is a young boy who has been fending for himself for two years on the streets, but he never let the streets break him. He is full of love and frequently comes to us for food and affection. While he doesn’t know yet what it is to play, we know he can learn with the right love and care. Please note that Stevie has FIV. However, cats with FIV can live a very, very long life with good nutrition and an immune boost supplement.

Tazzy

Tazzy is about 9 years old, a perfect senior cat for an adult household with no other pets. She head butts for affection, she purrs, she sits in your lap, she seeks affection and is longing for her special human.

Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer is a gentle giant originally found living in a dumpster in East Hartford. While initially quite shy, he quickly came out of his shell once he felt comfortable. He is approximately 3 years old and gets along well with both cats and people. He especially loves chin scratches and gobs of attention. Tom Sawyer tested positive for FIV, meaning he can live a very long life with good nutrition and an immune boost supplement.

Sunny-D

NEW KITTY!!!
We have wonderful news about Sunny-D. He is about four years old and, we’re happy to say, is no longer living in an East Hartford dumpster. He has been trapped, fully vetted, and saved!  Sunny-D is a young, healthy boy who does have FIV, but he can live a very long and full life with good nutrition and an immune boost supplement. He is a bit of a couch potato and purrs whenever he cuddles with his human. It is truly hard not to love this big orange puffball; the more attention you give him, the more interactive he becomes.  At this stage, he no longer wants to be one of many—he is ready to be your special boy.

Leemah

Leemah is approximately two years old and is a very beautiful tortie. She can become overstimulated quickly and often nibbles when she is excited. Because of this, she would do best in an experienced cat home with no children.

Stripey

Stripey is looking for a furever home! He's a grey tabby and a total love bug and purr machcine. Despite having spent 10 years living outside, he is incredibly kind. Please note that he is neutered, and has tested positive for FELV & FIV. Because of this, he should be the only cat in the household.

Smokey

Smokey is about 9 years old.  She is a perfect senior cat for an adult household with no other pets.  She head butts for affection, purrs, sits in your lap, seeks affection and longs for her special human. Are you that special human?

Rosebud

Rosebud is a very petite, small cat that will remain small.  She had two litters of kittens before she was saved from the dumpsters.  This little girl had to fight to ensure her and her kittens survived.  She softens up a little more every day.  She is ready to be part of a family with children over 12 years old.  Rosebud gets along with other cats as long as they stay away from her face and a paw’s length away.

Rita

Rita's family abandoned her because she was pregnant through no fault of her own. Very young, very confused, and her kittens were all taken away. She was afraid to take a single ste, the world was a very scary place. She is really coming out of her shell. The more love you give her, the more love she shows. She may hide for the first few days, but after that she will make sure her presence is known. This young, beautiful girl needs the life she was once denied

Houdini

Meet Houdini: The Oversized Ball of Love!
At 3–5 years old, he’s now looking for his next forever home.
Houdini is a true foodie – he enjoys both wet and dry food and will happily share mealtimes with his special person.
His name fits him perfectly: he has a habit of disappearing into his cozy napping spots, but when nap time is over, he emerges ready for cuddles and attention.

Daphne

She went form outdoor to now an indoor kitty. She is a funny girl. 3 years old. Wants someone to pet her, and talk to her, she likes to meow. She used to be shy and likes other cats after spending time with them.

Calvin

Calvin is a handsome teenage tabby who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life with humans can be. Once a shy boy who preferred to stay hidden, Calvin is slowly but surely coming out of his shell- and it's been heartwarming to watch. What's helping him blossom? Other Cats. Calvin absolutely loves his feline friends. He has taken on the sweetest role in his foster home- grooming kittens, watching over them, and een trying to play and care for them like a big brother. While Calvin is still slow to warm up to people, he is making steady progress every day. He will need a patient and understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. In return, you'll get to witness something really special- Calvin learning to trust and love at his own pace.

Jinx

Not quite ready for a new home yet. I'm too shy...

Pesto

🐾 Meet Pesto! 🐾
Pesto is a quiet observer, watching the other cats from afar. But don’t be fooled by her shy nature—there’s one thing that helps Pesto come out of her furry shell…
✨ Laser light! ✨
When it comes to chasing that magical red dot, Pesto transforms into an absolute maniac! This playful side is her key to building trust and forming bonds.

Portia

She was adored by humans for approximately 2 months and then dumped in the street like so many. She was found by a good samaritain. She will 100% connect but it's going to take time. The more you invest in Portia the greater the bond will be. This is an incredibly special girl. Will you continue to keep her safe while teaching her what love really means?

Spirit Cats

Shy 'spirit cats' need patience and a quiet home to adjust to a new family.

Feral & Semi-Feral Cats

They live by the moto, if you don’t touch me, I won’t touch you! The majority have never been owned, they are unsocialized, and usually born outdoors. They are fearful of people, they have lived as wild cats for a very long time. Typically they will hide or run from humans. Seeing injuries old and new is not uncommon. Some ferals  were once domesticated, then dumped by humans, this is the cruelest act of all. These cats must fight for their life, they face poison, predators, parasite infestations, human cat haters, cat hating people, coyotes, bobcats, fisher cats, and foxes. Vicious tom cats battle for territory and the unspayed female is forced to endure repeated attacks to mate, the male sex organ has pricker like barbs and horribly painful.  The females are bred to death, they give their life to protect their innocent kittens. Even a hungry tom cat will eat his own young. Our village loves every cat in need but has a special pull towards these moms. Take a moment to browse our former mama’s.
Can an outdoor feral cat live indoors peacefully? The answer is 100% yes, they only require a warm heart, consistency and the gift of time!
The primary difference between semi feral and feral is, the feral cat will panic and run as a human approaches. A semi-feral is not feeling threatened by humans,  they will watch, display curiosity but will not accept touch!
Whatever develops will be on the cats terms not yours!
